How To Check If Your Fuel Injector Is Malfunctioning?

Resistance measurement method

Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the solenoid valve: low resistance type (2.3-2.5 Ω) or high resistance type (13-18 Ω). If it exceeds the range, it may be damaged.

Attention: The resistance value of some car models may vary with temperature (the difference can reach 2-3 Ω).

Voltage detection method

Unplug the fuel injector plug and measure the power supply voltage with a multimeter (which should be around 12V battery voltage). If the voltage is abnormal, check the fuse or relay.

Auscultation method

When starting the engine, use a stethoscope to approach the fuel injector, and there should be a regular "click" sound. Silence or noise indicates a fault.
